And now we come to the second entry in my “things I read incorrectly on a screenshot” series. Otherwise known as the Ranchy Wingy-Thingys, previously thought to be Crunchy Wingy-Thingys. With both interpretations, I was obviously going to make chicken wings, but in this version they are less crunchy and more absolutely doused in ranch dressing. It’s what Uncle Moe would have wanted.
My main goal for the wings was to make sure they were smothered in ranch. Since the menu item is called wingy-thingys I had to wonder if maybe they weren’t actually chicken wings but something resembling them…as in, think smaller, think more legs? If this were true, copious amounts of ranch dressing would cover up any questions on the origins of said “wings”.

Dry wings completely with paper towel and cover with a coating of flour. Deep fry until cooked to a golden brown. Toss in a bowl with ranch dressing. Then dump some more ranch dressing on top.
I forgot to include flour in my ingredients picture, but I feel like this an important step to mention. When you think of breading chicken wings, you’re probably thinking of some complicated egg and flour dunking system. Avoid all that and just cover your well dried wings in flour and you will be amazed with how much better they deep fry!
The ranchy wingy-thingys tasted all right; I personally prefer hot wings though. I got ranch dressing everywhere while eating these and needed multiple napkins. In fact, I was so distracted by how much of a mess these created that I probably wouldn’t notice if they weren’t actually chicken. So success?
