Free Birthday Goods and Services Part Two: Final Tally

Just like last year, I decided to honor my birthday by eating as much free food as I could get from local merchants. This journey took place over four days and the results are…not pretty. Here’s the breakdown on what I ate (or shared because this is a LOT of food) and how unhealthy it was for me.

Even though I don’t like doing things like heavy lifting or math, I’m going to break things down a little further. I was averaging around 1400 calories a day and you should get approximately 25% of your calories from fat. I looked up a bunch of complicated fat calculations and at 1400 calories, you should be eating 38 grams of fat, I was at 52 grams. 52 is higher than 38. So while the calories count wasn’t too bad, the fat count was not.

Conclusion: I CAN’T live on breakfast foods and ice cream if I want to maintain my robust physique. But it’s not really my fault, if the portion sizes had been more realistic I wouldn’t be struggling to breath as I type this!
